• Yes! Music is a proven method to help quizzers learn and retain their verses. While it should not replace standard learning methods for most, it serves as a valuable addition to your existing learning program.
• Music can be especially beneficial to young learners, quizzers struggling with reference recognition, and quizzers who need help focusing attention during study times.
• There are several reasons why music can enhance the memorization process:

  • Emotional Connection: Music has the power to evoke emotions and create strong associations with each verse. When the Bible is paired with music, it can create a deeper connection and make the passage easier to remember and recall during a quiz.
  • Mnemonic Devices: Setting information to music can act as a mnemonic device or a “catchy tune”, where specific lyrics or melodies serve as cues to remember certain facts or concepts. This technique is commonly used in educational settings to facilitate memorization of facts, formulas, or vocabulary. We find that it works well in Bible Quizzing, as well.
  • Engagement and Focus: Music engages multiple sensory modalities, making the learning experience more enjoyable and stimulating. When quizzers are actively engaged with music, their attention and focus are heightened, leading to improved retention and recall.

• All songs are available in mp3 format.
• If you are purchasing a song set, you will receive a link to download a zip file containing all songs for that set. Be sure to unzip this file and import it into your favorite player or device.

For apple users:

We recommend using Evermusic. It is a free app that will allow you to download directly from our site into the app. It will also connect to your favorite share drive, such as Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc. Utilizing a share drive also provide a way to easily share with your team, allows access via multiple devices, and saves storage space on your device.

For android users:

We recommend Google Play. This comes standard on most android devices and will be the default when downloading from our site. You may also use your favorite share drive.

We launched a new feature in 2024!

• It is automatically available for no additional cost to those who purchase full All Sets Packages (Not for individual sets at this time).
• There are no monthly subscriptions fees.
• It does work on cellular service if you have a decent signal, however WiFi is highly recommended to avoid data overages for streaming.
• MP3’s are still available for download, as in years past. Streaming is simply an added bonus feature to give you more options.
• To access your selected purchase, simply login to your account and you will see a new menu item called “Streaming” available. Click on this to immediately access your online player.
• The Streaming Function is available for the ’24 season and forward, not for prior years.

Yes, you can stream MP3s without Wi-Fi using your mobile data connection.

Streaming MP3s on your mobile device requires an internet connection, and if you don’t have access to Wi-Fi, your device will use your cellular data to stream the MP3 files.

However, it’s important to be mindful of your data usage while streaming, as it can consume a significant amount of your data allowance,. To avoid exceeding your data limits, consider using Wi-Fi whenever available or download the MP3 files onto your device for offline listening when you have access to Wi-Fi.

Church license basic guidelines

• Sharing Within the Church: We encourage sharing with quizzers, coaches, and parents in your local church only.
• No Sharing Outside the Church: Please refrain from sharing your BQSongs purchase with other churches in or out of your district.
• If you are aware of a church/quiz team who would benefit from the songs, but can’t afford it, please let us know and we will gladly help out.

SubAccount Basics

• Streaming Availability: Streaming is only available for Full All Set Purchases. However, Subaccounts can still be used on individual set purchases to give download access to quizzers.
• Creating SubAccounts: Once you log in to your account, you will see a “SubAccount” menu where you can share your Purchased Downloads/Stream with other quizzers in your church without sharing your account password.
• Unique Email Requirement: The Add Subaccount function requires a unique email address for each individual you will share your purchase with.
• Deletion of SubAccounts: You cannot delete a subaccount, as they may have placed their own purchases. If you need to delete a subaccount, please contact us, and we will do it for you.
• Unlimited SubAccounts: There are no limits to the number of SubAccounts you can create, but please only share your purchases with individuals from your local church.
